Displaying seven ethnic-minority language versions of the draft law on promoting ethnic solidarity and progress at a Wednesday briefing, an official from China's top legislature stressed that both the promotion of standard Chinese and the protection of rights to use ethnic minorities' languages are guaranteed by the Constitution and other laws.
