China's industrial output growth accelerated in May, driven by strong performance in equipment and high-tech manufacturing, whose value-added output rose 9.5% and 15.1% year on year, respectively, said Fu Linghui, spokesperson and chief economist of the National Bureau of Statistics, on Tuesday.
