Every day, my colleagues and I work to detect illicit drugs and smuggled items hidden and disguised in vehicles, and lay ambushes deep in the jungle to intercept criminals who attempt to escape inspection. Be it bearing mosquito bites while laying ambushes in the jungle or engaging in deadly fights with drug traffickers, and no matter how tough, exhausting, dangerous and difficult the situation is, I always believe that the more we persevere, the less the country is exposed to the threat of illicit drugs.
