China and ASEAN have seen closer economic and trade ties over the years, remaining each other's top trade partner for four consecutive years. Their bilateral trade rose 7.7% year on year to US$552 billion in the first seven months of 2024, Vice Minister of Commerce Li Fei said at a press conference on Wednesday.
