During the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the National Aquatics Center, known as the "Water Cube," will build detachable curling tracks on the swimming pool to host curling events.

Thus, the venue's nickname turns from "Water Cube" into "Ice Cube."

Over the past six years, several research teams from Harbin Institute of Technology have been working together, adopting new structures, new materials, and technologies including big data and the Internet of Things.
