The CPRA is a non-profit organization managed by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the SCIO. There are 10 boards under the CPRA, including the academic board and the board of government public relations. The CPRA aims to carry out research on public relations, promote international exchange, and push forward the healthy development of public relations in the new era.

On behalf of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the SCIO, Xu gave congratulations to the successful convening of the meeting. He said in his speech that both the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the SCIO hope the CPRA could play its role as the bridge and vital link for gathering resources to support international exchange, and broaden the approaches of public relations. The CPRA should continue its leading role in the field of public relations, improve social governance, and share Chinese culture with the outside world, Xu said.

Speaking about the role of the CPRA, Guo said that the association should give full play to its expertise in coordinating relations and offering information on public relations, so as to provide a variety of services in the fields of politics, economy and trade, culture, and media. The platform is also expected to offer strategic planning and guidance on strengthening cultural exchange, in order to better present China to the world.
