The Chinese Consulate General in Istanbul initiated "China Day" on Monday, drawing many Turks to feel China's achievements over the past seven decades as well as its unique culture.

People waited in long queue for a taste of delicious food, as the Chinese orthopaedic massotherapy offered an amazing experience. Simple words like "Nihao" made learners of the Chinese language relax, while a little girl and others were practicing Chinese calligraphy, and Istanbul Deputy Governor Hulya Kaya was having a Chinese doctor feel her pulse.

Tea ceremony and mask painting also drew crowds, and Kung Fu and Kung Fu movie "Ip Man" were eye-catching to no less extent, while an indoor photo exhibition was telling China's economic and social development in the past 70 years.

In her speech, Kaya voiced readiness to support a friendly relationship between Turkey and China, saying she valued bilateral cooperation and would continue to advance friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Cui Wei, the Chinese consul general in Istanbul, said as people-to-people bond based on cultural exchanges is an important component of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China in 2013, the Chinese side would make more efforts to promote Turkey-China cultural cooperation and exchanges so as to further advance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples.
