Xu Lin attends 6th General Assembly of CPRA

Xu Lin, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO), attended the 6th General Assembly of the China Public Relations Association (CPRA) in Beijing on Aug. 22.

The 6th General Assembly of the China Public Relations Association (CPRA) was held in Beijing on Aug. 22.

Xu Lin, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO), attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

On behalf of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the SCIO, Xu gave congratulations to the successful convening of the meeting. He said that the strategic plan made by the CPC Central Committee pointed the way for the CPRA to play its role as the bridge and vital link for coordinating relations among governments and the public, as well as gathering resources to support international exchange.

The CPRA should study and put into practice Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fulfill its duties, Xu said. He also urged the CPRA to continue its leading role in the field of public relations, improve social governance, and share Chinese culture with the outside world.

Xu put forward requirements for the CPRA to further broaden the approaches of public relations and cultivate talents with the ability to lead the development of public relations.

The head and members of the new council of the CPRA were elected during the meeting.
