Huang Kunming on Monday participated in a group discussion with delegates from Jiangxi province who are attending the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing.
Huang said he gave unequivocal support to the report delivered by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, at the opening of the congress on Sunday. He said the report will encourage the whole Party and the whole nation to work hard on the new journey forward and achieve new success.
The first decade of the new era has seen a historic transformation that proved the decisive significance of establishing Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and defining the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has changed China, influenced the world, and opened new horizons in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times, Huang said.
The Chinese path to modernization characterized by features unique to China and complying with rules of development will benefit human society. Chinese modernization opens up bright prospects of building a great modern socialist country and advancing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Huang said.
Huang said that, with General Secretary Xi Jinping steering the Party and the country and with the sound guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, a more splendid chapter will be written on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
