China launches satellite for natural disaster monitoring

A Long March-2D carrier rocket carrying Zhangheng 1-02 satellite, an electromagnetic monitoring satellite jointly developed by China and Italy, blasts off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on June 14, 2025. The rocket lifted off at 3:56 p.m. (Beijing Time), successfully sending the satellite into its planned orbit, according to the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
